This couldn't have happened at a better time! I just bought my first blank book from a Wiccan online shop, to use as a Book of Shadows, and then, in checking my order, ran across an e-mail from a Wiccan website I belong to, which allows members to review e-books for free, and this is the first book on my list! I guess you might say, Goddess works in strange, and magickal ways.Wicca Book of Shadows, by Lisa Chamberlain, is a fast read, easy to understand, and yet full of good information. It covers the history of the Book of Shadows, from the time of the ancient Grimoires of Magick, to the coining of the word by Gardner, up to the technological age of computers and phone apps. Lisa Chamberlain clearly explains what goes into a Book of Shadows, what types of books to use, resources available, even types of paper and whether to use quills and ink, a calligraphy pen, or even crayons and markers, depending on how elaborate you want to make it, and how talented you are as an artist. She also discusses the pros and cons of using technology, and whether it is best to make a choice between handmade/handwritten, or computerized, or a combination of both. She even includes a short protection spell to protect your Book of Shadows from unwelcome observers, while allowing those you choose to share it with...and a list of some of the arcane ways you can confuse other people from reading it in the first place, such as magickal alphabets such as Theban, for example, numerology, sigils, etc. But, with this being a very basic beginner's book, she didn't go into much detail about the many arcane alphabets, but really, with the internet, if people are really interested, they can find out more about that online.I highly recommend this book for any beginning Wiccan, witch, or pagan who is interested in having their own Book of Shadows. And, I am looking forward to creating my own.
This book shares a vast amount of knowledge on how to compile your own Book of Shadows without strict guidelines. The author offers you various techniques to choose from while reminding the reader that no matter how you choose to put your BOS (Book of Shadows) together it will be the right way so long as it feels right to you. The book is thorough without being confusing or boring. With it only being 70 some pages it is full of useful information and a quick and easy read for anyone, be it a newly found Wiccan or a more experienced one. I would definitely recommend this book to anyone looking to start their own BOS or if you're like me and have to read every bit of information you can find on the subject of Wicca, witchcraft, or Paganism. A lot of the big thick books that you pay $10-$15 for seem to have extra words that seem to be used only to make the book appear thicker. And that's not to say they don't contain useful information. Sometimes the information is difficult to locate. This book however was organized very well. It was full of information that can be put to use right away. I highly recommend this book and intend to look at others by this author.
Chamberlain divides this book into three parts: History of the Book of Shadows, Creating Your Book of Shadows, and Using Your Book of Shadows. The quality of the writing is very good. You might think keeping your own Book of Shadows would be pretty straightforward, but Chamberlain provides some interesting bits of trivia and simple ideas that I feel like I should have come up with myself but haven't.

Ms. Lisa Chamberlain gives her readers lots of excellent information along with plenty of choices and options for writing ones own Book of Shadows. This is a great book for a new practitioners, and she also gives ideas that many of us advanced practitioners could possibly find interesting and informative. Especially the section on "21st century Book of Shadows." I highly recommended this book and author to all Wiccans and Pagans whether if you are a beginner or advanced practitioners solitary or coven.This will either teach you how to begin or give you possibly some great new ideas. First of all, the author should have made it perfectly clear that this manual was intended largely for AT&T users. Going through the manual, you just have to ignore or delete the sections that are specific to AT&T. The other instructions are pretty much the same no matter which carrier you use. Fairly basic manual, nothing earth shattering. Pages 11-112 are instructional. Pages 113-168 are the authors recommended Android apps for the S4.
This phone DOES NOT come with a manual. You can download it on the computer BUT this manual is so much easier for me. I flaged the pages I knew I would have to go back to for help. I was so very glad to find it printed in book form. It was definitely a good buy for me!

This still didn't cover all the questions I had. For one, how to lengthen the number of rings before it goes to voicemail. The maximum on the phone is 10 seconds which is not always long enough. However, there is a way to do this. Such a common setting should easily be available.
I have a T-Mobile phone. This is a manual for AT&T phones and is not suitable for me. That should have been made clear in the description and I wouldn't have purchased this book. It is largely useless to me.
I am finally mastering my phone. This manual has made it possible. Using the camera is not as detailed as I needed, but otherwise it really has been very helpful and informative.
Enjoyable manual for a newbie like myself.

Congressman Steve Scalise was elected to Congress in May of 2008 after serving in the Louisiana State Legislature from 1996-2008. He currently serves his colleagues as the House Majority Whip, the third highest position for House Republicans. A native of Jefferson Parish, Scalise is a graduate of Archbishop Rummel High School and Louisiana State University, where he earned a degree in Computer Science and a minor in Political Science. As Scalise explains, the body and mind are severely impaired, and may never fully recover. Hundreds of people from the Las Vegas and other shootings suffered the same traumatic injuries. I purchased this book because I wanted to show my support for Steve Scalise and the trauma he experienced. Little did I know that it would turn out to be one of the best non-fiction books I’ve read in a long time. I had no idea that his ordeal involved so many near death experiences. It was truly a very difficult time for he and his family. Steve manages to bring the entire experience of his into minute focus. His writing style grabs the reader from the beginning. He is a true patriot and a man of faith. I’d encourage every American to read this book. It truly represents what the heart of our nation is at its most fundamental level. God bless representative Scalise and I pray that God continues to use him in his life. He is a remarkable human being.

What an amazing story!. Could not put this book down even though I knew the ending as I had just seen Congressman Scalise on TV. With co-author Jeffrey Stern, Scalise describes the horrific June 2017 shooting at the baseball field as the Republicans practiced for their annual game against the Congressional Democrats. This is followed by a description of his year long progress from a very critical experience in one of the top Trauma centers in the country, followed by an extended experience in ICU with numerous surgical procedures with so many complications. His personal drive to complete rehab in record time so he could return to Congress, his family and friends is amazing. The book is riveting, well organized and inspirational to all. As a former Trauma nurse, who worked with so many gun shot victims, I recognize that his book is an incredible testimony to all the silent heroes who are well trained and who made a difference in survival. One such hero was Congressman Brad Wenstrup, who recognized the severity of Scalise's gun shot wound from previous combat experience, rendering the appropriate medical care as EMS arrived on the scene. But more that that, it is an amazing story of his personal drive to survive.

I finished this book, appropriately enough, on Thanksgiving Day. Too many of us are forgetting what the holiday's name means.There aren't many heartwarming, feel-good stories around political figures these days. This is one. It is a story of grit on one man's part and a refusal to give up hope, combined with an almost incredible series of small miracles in the form of dozens of people being in exactly the right place at the right time with the right training, gear and experience, without any of whom he would have died.99.9% of us forgot the shooting within a week, in the constant chattering of the 24/7 news cycle. Majority whip is not a position constantly in the public eye. It is (you should pardon the phrase) the ultimate in political inside baseball.Anyone who has been through rehab for an illness or sports injury knows what a grind it is, but a catastrophic injury is different order of magnitude altogether. Scalise never gave up, never became bitter, never blamed anyone but the guy behind the trigger, and gave all the credit to the people who helped pull him through.I won't give away the spoilers, but I shed a tear or two at the book's final scene. I hope you will too.

Wait for the second version of this book… It may be step-by-step but the thought process behind the books step-by-step layout is sporadic… the author is inexperienced at PowerPivot.Common Example page 2-12… the step by step book is explaining how to create and detect relationships. Ok fine, step 1,2,3,4,5, but step 6 does not coincide with the example being worked on, it is a separate step-by-step relating to the “Report Filter drop boxâ€â€¦ which would lead a person to believe that the example they just worked on was incorrect considering step 1-5 references the drop down box “Row Labelsâ€â€¦ Oh But wait, step 7 and 8 reference the Report Filter (the book hasn’t had us create a report filter yet). *It isn’t possible to complete this example step by step.Example #2 Page 2-13, There is a paragraph on how the PowerPivot Field List will simply disappear. The author’s solution was to quit excel and then reopen. This is NOT the case, the field list will disappear when you click on cells outside of the pivot table, it will reappear when you click on any of the headers within the pivot table.A typical step by step book would state 1) click here, 2) go there, 3) etc… This book has paragraphs of information that don’t translate into “why†information…Also—Microsoft has most of these same sample files online for FREE with the actual step-by-step tutorial for FREE. BUT be warned, view diagrams in PowerPivot is useful with Excel 2013 no matter what Microsoft says… The “fix†does not work with excel 2010, I wasted 5 hours trying to install and reinstall.

I thought this book was well written, with an integrated approach from the concepts to actual working knowledge.I wish I had found this book, before purchasing other books I bought on Power Pivot.This is the only one you will need, so save the money.This book is difficult to find on Amazon, which is why there are probably no review's on it yet.Somehow I found it, I am not sure how I found but I am so grateful I did.Buy this book if you want to learn Power Pivot.Thanks for writing this book.
I purchased this book in 2013, and I am just getting around to learning PowerPivot now, but I can't get the publisher to send me the 1st part of the sample files per page 1-12 instructions, I should E-Mail them and I have from 2 addresses. No one is home to email me apparently...
I use this book as a reference quite frequently. It is well organized and a good primer for PowerPivotEverything was on time and as expected. I highly recommend this vendor. All was as expected and arrived on time.

It’s not bad. It gives you a bit of background but it’s mostly just the questions and answers. Pretty common with these type of test help books. There are mistakes I’ve found. I didn’t note them as I went through. Most glaring though, question T8B12 answer in the book is not correct according to other sources, so if read only this book and this question gets asked, you’ll get t wrong. :)
It seems more informative than the other study guide I'm using.

Well written story about two people fighting themselves on how they feel about each other. Edge and Tallia are great together and bring out the best in each other. This is book two in this series and I anxiously wait for the next bok.
Loved this book!!! Talia had a history she was hiding from, but was still helping Edge. He didn’t forget it and came back to help her. I think they were perfect together and I love they way they were brought together but I can’t say more or there will be spoilers and you really need to read this book!
Edge and Talia are a great couple, plus we get to see Outlaw and Merc again! Can’t wait for the third in this new series!
I fell in love with Edge & Talia. I couldn't put this book down and was on the edge of my seat the entire time. Edge claimed he'd never have an ol lady. Talia never wanted to be an ol lady after everything she has been through. Seeing these two fall in love was amazing. They fit perfectly together and I couldn't be happier for them. I can't wait to see what happens next!
loved this story of Edge and Tailia's. I can't say enough about this story and I loved that Harmony and Merc was in this book too. I have read both authors stories and loved everyone of them. Oh boy! This book had so much going on that I'm not quite sure where to start! This is the second book in the Twisted Iron MC series, and begins where Mercenary and His Outlaw ended. It's told from alternating POVs, Edge and Talia.Edge is rough around the edges, and has a past that would cripple a lesser man. His MC family is all that he has, and all that he needs. When unexpected circumstances throws Talia in his path, he isn't quite sure what to do about the heat that simmers between them. Talia is on the run, from a past that just won't let go. She doesn't trust Edge, even though her heart tells her she should, and she definitely doesn't trust the MC lifestyle.This series has been great so far, even though it's a bit more hard core than some other MC series. Edge and Talia are a great couple, and compliment each other well. They just FIT! This book was full of everything I love in an MC romance, action, danger, and love so hot it will burn my kindle! This book is a must read, and definitely one I'd recommend to any MC lover!
