Gillies' book is part memoir, part how-to, and all cozy. It takes us on a personal tour of the places, activities, and personal touches that have made her own life better-- and that create warmth and joy for her family. This book is a love letter to New York City, parenting, cooking, and practicing thoughtful self-care-- a useful and relaxing reminder that anything can be made cozy if you set your mind (and your heart) to it.
Good read. Makes you look at things at a different angle. It’s a must read for everyone. I highly recommend it.
Absolutely Amazing! Make you have a whole new prospective on life and look at things in a way I would of never thought of before.
I found this book to be extremely light and self-involved. There is nothing of real substance in it. She likens her soup broth to combing her hair. And, for example, lists "cozy" things about visiting the Tower of London like "getting a map." This book is not all all what I had expected.
Love the message, the writing, and I love love the book itself with the cozy, uneven-edged papyrus-y paper it’s written on!
Fun! I had never thought about my Cozy. Perfect hostess gift, for the friend with everything, your favorite teacher; I plan to have a couple on hand.
