This book is written from two perspectives: through my eyes as an injured athletic patient in chronic pain, and through my viewpoint as a coach for others. It is a collection of the lessons that I have learned through my personal healing and that my clients have taught me as I supported them in their recovery. My intention is to help you avoid the mistakes I made and, instead, to learn from my athletic experience and professional knowledge.

Jessica Kisiel’s “Winning the Injury Game” is not just a book, it is an education! Jessica’s journey into her own misalignment, imbalances, back pain, muscle inequality and more drove her to explore the root causes of bodily chronic pain and how to manage it or get rid of it entirely.The book is more like a workbook which asks the reader to take an active role in their own recovery. Her explanations, diagrams and exercises guide the reader to help heal themselves. She has obviously done her homework and her research is extensive.She also debunks several commonly held beliefs, such as the benefits of “belly breathing” that just don’t add up.Jess helped me with my scoliosis pain and misaligned hips. Her personal sessions combined with many of the exercises in the book, helped my pain reduce significantly. Definitely worth reading and getting an education!

I’ve read this book twice it was so good. The author explains things in a way that are easy to understand. I’ve seen doctors and physical therapists for a issue I had. While helpful the book was better because you can understand the issue you have and what is needed to be done to correct it. Which in many cases the author explains can be due to alignment issues above the area causing pain. Highly recommend. My wife a yoga instructor is reading it now and loves the book

"Winning the Injury Game" by Jessical Kiesel is a must read! As a Certified Egoscue Method Practitioner, I find this book to be very complete and detailed. I like that it takes the importance of Postural Alignment , breathing, among other things and explains them in detail as well as the graphics that compliment the text. Jessica has done an excellent job detailing her own journey with pain and how she overcame it. I recommend this book. It is a great tool to have and refer to when one has chronic pain.

Thanks goodness I stumbled across this book while searching for pain relieving exercises. Jessica did an amazing job helping me understand why my body was in pain and what I could do about it. The exercises are simple and if you do the work, you will see and feel results very quickly. My photos before and after working with Jessica's book look like two different people! Where I once was tilted to the side and out of balance, I am now balanced and strong. Do yourself and your body a favor...buy this book.
