I loved this audiobook so much that I wrote this review in hopes that word will get out how incredible this is and it will become available in print form because there is so much interesting historical content I wish I could read it as well as listening, although the narrators are AWESOME. - I enjoyed every chapter and I am such a fan now.I’m listening to it with my husband now as he is a feminist, but like most, doesn’t know all the dirty details women have been experiencing through the ages and people should know.I wish this book was required reading.
I heard both the authors being interviewed on “ the edge with Mark Thompson†and loved the idea of it. I got my copy dove right in. I’m drawn to books on history and even more so one that touch on little discussed topics. I did not care much for the style of how it was presented but the facts where great in a horrible way. Then 23mins into the book there was an attack on so called “Bernie Brosâ€. I am a huge Bernie supporter and I observed how that made up term was thrown around during the 2016 primary in the most ridiculous ways. I find it sad that the authors would use this pejorative term "Bernie Bro". It shows a real lack of critical thinking and also blindness to how and why it was used. Our maybe they agree with the term. I can read authors that I disagree with but I have no urge read anything from ones who write about history yet ignore the history in front of them.
I thought I knew a great deal about women's history, at 71 I've lived through most of it. But no, indignities is not the proper word. Horrors are more like it. Equal Rights Ladies or we'll slip back again! It takes real talent to make this subject funny and they have. I NEED this book in hard copy. Thanks
The idea for this book came about when the authors wondered why half of the population got the shaft and decided to find out why. Through chapters covering areas like hair, crime, and marriage they tell us what they found in an amusing and insightful way.
I love this book beyond words. Very eye-opening and informative. I learned a ton and laughed a ton... which was cathartic...being a woman and all.
fabulous music! and the topic is well presented with humor and clarity.
The speakers talk very very fast, and just one mode - sarcasm -. Difficult to listen to for long periods. At least that’s how it was for 15-20 minutes, haven’t gone back to see if the rest is more dynamic.

Anyone with even a passing interest in timber framing would do well to read this book. Arrow Timber Framing recently completed a project on our home near Battle Ground, Washington. Having been in the building business all of my life, and always having an interest in timber frame construction, I watched the progression of the project very closely.Through the years I have had some pretty good crews, but very few had the same dedication and pride in their craft and the company they represent, as every member of the Arrow Timber Framing crew have.Bert, Josh, and Matt did a great job of helping me through the design and building process. Their computer software is amazing, as you can see early on what the project will look like, and they are able to show you options in your design immediately.A lot of decisions about the design, timber size, truss makeup and things that make the project just right, both aesthetically and structurally, would have been easier and more comfortable for me, if I would have had the book in hand in the early stages.The text and the pictures are great. Bert and his crew at Arrow Timber Framing are simply the BEST!
This book and company will be used when I build my dream home! This book is awesome with great information, the pictures look amazing. I can tell these guys know what they're doing and I look forward to working with them in the future!

We have ties to Texas and are naturally crazy about bluebonnets, as well as admiring anything Tomi de Paolo does, so when I saw this as an Amazon suggestion, I bit on it. We also are rather into Indian lore. It is a brief little story with a moral, but I was in tears by the time I finished previewing it! Not quite what I had expected to hand on to the grandkids whose story books so far have had "happy endings".I can only hope they'll grow up to be as unselfish as the heroine of the book.
After reading the legend I feel it is not for young children as it is too intense. I did not give it to my grandchildren as originally intended.
This book was very good for preschool ages 3-5. The book was easy to understand and the children listened while it was read to them.
The Story of Bluebonnet was exactly as described and arrived quickly. My class enjoyed the story and making bluebonnets afterwards.
