This book has alot of information but I don't like the way it goes back and forth. It tells you how to do things but then you have to go back to a earlier chapter to get some of the information you need to finish the task. I bought another book called tips and tricks for Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 it is easier to follow if you are like me, I am not good with computer stuff.
This book looks very similar to the "Samsung Galaxy Tab S and Nook for Dummies" but is much better written, and you don't have to keep checking whether a feature being described is only in the "Nook" model. I'm glad I looked through both before buying this one - it's so much easier to follow and very thorough, it really helped when I had just bought a Tab S as my first tablet.
This is a great book for people who are new to Android, like myself. I sat there and read the whole thing with my Tablet in my lap and found the book very useful. The author uses a good deal of humor throughout which I also liked. If you are a more advanced user, I'm not sure how much you'd get from this book, but then again, why would you be reading a Dummies book.
I love all DUMMIES books. I recently bought the new Samsung Galasy Tab S2. This book is easy to follow and easy to find things. Printed on inexpensive paper and poorly illustrated. The section that describes the buttons and button features does not even have a diagram of the tablet, even the small foldout that came with the tablet has a better description. I really wanted better diagrams and photos in order to understand how to make the tablet work for me, I guess I was the Dummy here.
My Galaxy Tab S was a gift to me. I wanted additional detailed operation instructions to quickly learn it's features. This is the best user manual purchase I've made. Delivered in less time than expected. It covers many areas/uses that I was not aware of. I keep in on my desk and on my end table by my recliner for use at home. Great for looking up new uses, too. Price was "right" too.
Good general information, but did not provide the specifics i was looking for. It serves a good guide for the beginners.

We have an 8-year-old son who loves anything involving Lincoln. When I read it to him, I was just as interested as he was, as I didn't know of the real-life story. Illustration and typography are top-notch as well. I can't believe this doesn't have more reviews!
Loved this book. My 9 year old and I both read it and I’m not sure who enjoyed it more. Great story and very cool illustrations.
Brilliant story and illustrations. So unique and creative. We bought if for our child and enjoyed it just as much as she did. Highly highly recommend!
An exciting and fact-filled introduction to Pinkerton and a thwarted assassination attempt on Lincoln.Bold graphics, cartoon-style characters, and a spotlight emanating from Pinkerton's eyes all draw young readers' attention to a topic that otherwise might not intrigue. Then, the narrative style retains readers' interest and imparts a fascinating tale. Readers will learn that Pinkerton, an immigrant fleeing arrest, used his powers of observation and deduction to catch counterfeiters who were working on the island where he harvested lumber for his cooperage (I learned that a cooperage is a barrel business). This ultimately led to his career as a detective, which led him to rumors of an assassination plot against Lincoln before his inauguration, which led him to thwart the plot, which led Lincoln to employ him in the new Secret Service. Fast forward to 1999, and Securitas acquired the still-successful Pinkerton business. Back matter provides further detailed biographical and company history.With many inset pictures, captions, and eye catching fonts, Moss and Holmes intrigue, inform, and inspire further learning. This book was so much fun - I love the way this author writes. So much drama and twists where you think something's been revealed, but has it really? It's a great thriller and exactly the type of story that I can get lost in. There's an extra element in the way this author shapes the story that I can't explain but it makes it what you expect and yet, so much more.I'll never understand why people get all pretentious and uppity about stories like this not meeting their unrealistic expectations. It's a mystery thriller not the next Pulitzer, people. I've already read & loved "The Forgotten Room" and never did I expect I would enjoy this one even more. I will read all of her stories, they are just fantastic.
This was a good, if not long, read. I found that reading a chapter at a time was a good pace for me. I think it was because there were quite a few characters that I had to keep up with. The older I get the more plausible the psychotic characters are. There are many people in the family who look normal although the more you read the more abnormal they become. Just like in real life.
Confusing and convoluted but by the end I was glad I had read it. I would recommend it to anyone that had a mean mother and a totally screwed up family. Worked for me!
I can figure out most mysteries before the end of the book, but this one has me guessing. There were so many unexpected twists and turns that it made for a surprisingly excellent read. Bravo, Ann Troup.
The family in this novel is really not a family. They are a gaggle of folks who only seem to exist to hurt each other. Turns and twists at each new chapter. The main characters are likable, the detectives able, and everyone else is psychotic, except for one woman who comes in rather late who is decent. I really enjoyed it.
I know these people exist. Horrifying, it makes you loathe the control megelamanics never hesitate to use on small children for control of their lives.
This was a good read but there were far too many characters to keep track of. Perhaps if I had had the time to read it in just a few sittings I would have liked it better. I would recommend that if you choose it, make sure life doesn't get in the way of finishing it within a week or so.
This was an easy, fun read, yet complex. The plot kept unraveling until the very last pages, which I absolutely loved! Money well spent and I will be buying more of her books.
